houstonprofootball.com is currently the best site. Anyone who browses that site, check out the new wallpaper.
Actually, the Texans realized the value of an active fan BBS -- probably due in part to this website. They have a VERY active BBS on their website -- in league with this one (for football anyway). Over 2300 registered users. It's under Fan Zone / Message Board. http://www.houstontexans.com/fans/
I feel like HoustonProFootball is much better organized than the boards at HoustonTexans.com. Also, I would prefer to post on a site that is *not* sponsored by the team because you don't have to worry one bit about what you say about the team. I think they've done a great job at HoustonProFootball and it will catch on with more time.
Cmon guys, start posting! I've been a lurker for a long while on their boards, and it really has potential to be a great BBS if the fanbase can just increase. Certainly it will do that in time, but if a good number of us do it soon and start posting, it might expedite the process. Besides those of us who posted in this thread, I also noticed Sonny with a few posts over there. Ric does a tremendous job with the site, and as mentioned, the new wallpaper is just brilliant.
The BBS at HoustonTexans.com just seems to be filled with a bunch of morons, not all of them mind you, just a bunch.
So far I've been really impressed with HoustonProFootball.com. The crew/administrators/staff seem similar on their Texans insight as Clutch crew for the Rockets.
That's usually how it works...the "official" sites are full of kiddies & trolls shouting "[Team X] sucks!!! [Team Y] rules!!!" or vice versa. I've never seen a team sponsored site with the quality of posters that fan sites like this or ac.com have; hpf.com should grow into an excellent site as well, given a little time.
Atleast they got it right... Clutch's site is the example of which every fan site should be based upon.
I'm registered there now, but I haven't actually posted yet... It not like, you know, I post with a religious ferver here anyway...
I would post at hpf.com but Ric sort of thinks he is god's gift to football minds. I like how Clutch and the rest of the admins never emphasize how much basketball knowledge they think they have. Only heypartner does.
sort of? sort of? i am god's gift to football minds! nomar, before you slander me further, back that ridiculous assertion up with some kind of evidence.
