I don't agree with anyone saying "Golden State is hoisting our trophy." They won, we didn't. But imagine if it was Golden State's second-best player (Curry) who went down with an injury instead of ours. They wouldn't have won. That's why Houston needs Lebron James (or Paul George, if they can't get James). Next year Paul could go down again, or it could be Harden. Injuries are part of the game. With Capela improving every year, there's your big four -- Harden, Lebron, Paul and Capela. I'd say that's at least as good a core as Golden State has. And if Paul, Harden or Lebron gets hurt, they're still in it. Suggesting small improvements are enough is assuming an awful lot will go just right.
why do you have to be such a nitpicking formalist...a trophy is not why you play..its only a metaphor for one team beating or outplaying the other...for all practical purposes we beat gsw this year fair and square, we were a better team at basketball skills and most importantly points.... the only reason we dont get the trophy is refs stopped calling legit fouls on gsw when they were on the ropes and started shaving rockets points of scoreboard... so yeah in reality the trophy belongs to the rockets
Well we do need a third star. Not necessarily Lebron. But if we dont get him he better stay in cleveland and forget about getting a 4th ring. I dont want him to form another superteam in philly or go to the lakers and team up with kawhi or paul george.
