Can somebody bring back the thread back with that one god or whatever we had going last year? Can’t remember the name.
Played like absolute sh*t in all aspect of the game...top to bottom... GOT completely hosed in game 1...and still lost by 10 points combined in Oracle. Rockets will be tied 2-2 going back to Oracle... I have a feeling these will be boring win.
Yea both games were really close in golden state so no real indication that we can’t win these next two being at home
Rockets starting lineup is not working.....................please start CP3, Harden, Tucker, Faried, Capela. (Bench: Nene, Rivers, Gordon) Please don't play Faried at 5, he is and was never a center.......it's not his fault though... it's MDA/Morey/Tilman who didn't want to get a PF or center.
You must refer to Draymond greene as his code name "all defensive team Dre Greene"! Start Nene, Gordon, garden tool, cp3, capaela. KEEP DRAYMOND OFF BOARDS EARLY. If they slow down green then go back to back to small ball but you gotta slow "defensive first team, dre Greene". Why not go after Draymond greene? Get some techs on him? Kerr seemed to think that rockets was going after Greene when in game 2 when Kerr decided to bring jerekbo off the bench early.
Both games were a lot closer than people are making it out to be. The Rockets need to be more disciplined when GS goes on those hot streaks and not turn the ball over. They've shown they can get back in the game in both games.
I think we've won 6 of the 8 quarters we've played this series, but the two we've lost have been bad and that's cost us the game each time.
G1: 19-28 34-25 23-30 24-21 G2: 20-29 29-29 26-24 34-33 4 of the 8 actually. The two first quarters were both lethal and tone-setting. The team this year has an incredible ability to hang. But not explosive enough (at least in the past six games).
They protected their home court, time for us to do the same now. We probably should have won game 1, we were in game 2 until the very end, lost fair and square. This is for sure a 7 game series now at best IMO. Time to return the favor and beat them in game 7 on their court...
Yes, we can win the next four and yank that Golden carpet out from under the Warriors' feet. Possible? Very!! We have the ability. The problem is one that has repeated itself all year long. Lack of focus and lack of discipline. We come out on fire then blow a lead or we come out looking like we haven't practiced together in weeks, then play great just too little and too late. We decide to start hustling for rebounds after a couple quarters. We forget we have other teammates who are actually shooting great, and try to play Harden or nothing ball. We play small ball when it isn't working, we change lineups more than a newborn changes diapers, but play the same way every game. We are as predictable with our shot taking as a dog barking to a mailman. What we need to do is mix it up a little more, and play a little differently to their defensive adjustments. Drive in and make some easy layups before they clog the paint. Fast break baby! Alley oops, jump shots, slam dunks, whatever it takes. Get everyone involved!!! Play "team" ball, quit making lazy passes, and stop giving them so many second chance shots. Stop the dribble dribble dribble ISO and just pass or shoot. Damnit, we have the capability to beat them 4 straight. Just do it!!
Ariza was the instigator of our physical defense on the Warriors this time last season. We need someone besides Tucker to rough them up.I had high hopes for House but he seems overwhelmed right now.
Apart from Tucker and Chris Paul I dun see many junkyard dogs or enforcers. Not with that consistent mentality. Maybe Austin and Gerald but they are not build thiccly. NeNe and Capela are sleeping Giants.
