I think Los Angeles having two teams is that much more difficult for other teams to pick up free agents. Who the hell wouldnt want to play there?
You dont think LA factors in somewhat? Im pretty sure Sammy Watkins was pretty happy to be traded to the rams from the Bills.
What was he supposed to say? "It's going to be a tough year. Jared Goff is not ready. He is not good. I will be lucky if I catch 50 passes this year. Of course he is going to say good things about the city. If the city is so attractive, joe come they didn't get a bunch of free agents on the offensive side? Desean Jackson? Jeffries? Instead they got Robert Woods and Dan Orlovsky.
Dude, I think you may be getting bent out of shape about this. I said a FACTOR in decisions, not the whole decision. Of course fit, schemes and coaching are going to be other factors. Lets say a free agent gets offered: the same money, same role and the two teams just came off a .500 season. Lets say those two teams are a LA team and Detroit. What team would they rather have?
I'm not bent out of shape. Sorry if I came off that way. Sure I think the city is a factor. I just don't think it counts as much. Most of these guys don't even live where they play. Especially for a WR, the QB makes a huge difference.
Wade knows how to use Ward. Players love Wade. I agree that if he chose LA, it's mostly going to be because he gets to continue playing for Wade
