It's like the Baltimore Ravens having a ceremony for Jim Brown, the former Cleveland Brown.....or the Indianapolis Colts have a ceremony for Johnny Unitis of the former Baltimore Colts. All those franchises moved away from their beloved cities and the history with those cities should have died that same day. The deal also stipulated that Cleveland would get a new NFL franchise in 1999 that would take up the history of the Browns. While Modell's team that was renamed the Ravens would be regarded as a new team.
So why was someone else allowed to copyright them? I didn't see that he was trying to get the exclusive right to those 2 letters, just be allowed to use them.
