I went to see him at the Dome. I knew he was going to absolutely dominate the NCAA. The critics have been proven wrong at every stage. It's absolutely insane that there are STILL doubts about this guy. As a diehard Republican you might think I'm the last person to cry racism on behalf of an African American (I'm on the other side of the argument in the Bonds case for example), but I'm really starting to think that it's because he's a black QB. Pathetic.
Or maybe it's just that some find grown men falling in love with the star high-school quarterback to be really funny.
Vince Young Saves Seven Orphans From Raging Fire AP- Vince Young selflessly saved seven helpless orphans from a shelter in downtown Houston Tuesday afternoon. The orphans became trapped for unknown reasons, but Vince charged in with lightening speed. It is believed Young's thick skin from constant attacks from "homers" saved him from being seriously burned. link second article
You like to insinuate that those you disagree with are homosexual. Indicative of your own personal insecurities? Who knows. I have no romantic feelings towards Vince Young. He is, however, without a doubt the best football player I have ever seen step on to a field. He will torch the NFL in a manner consistent with the rest of his stellar career. Book it.
I don't disagree with anything. I couldn't care less how great he is. He very well could be the best player in the history in the universe. Super. I just think the VY man-love obsession is funny.
There is no obsession. He's just a topic of interest considering the demographics of this BBS. 1. How many UT alum/fans are on this board? 2. How many people root for local Houston sports heroes? When I went to UH law school, 1/3 of all UH law students went to UT undergrad. When UT played UH at the Astrodome, I sat on the "home" side (tickets as a UH law student) and there were far more burnt orange even in that part of the stands. Vince Young, Yao, TMac, Roger Clemens will always be hot topics on this BBS. Completely surprising and obvious homosexual tendancies.
Yeah, I too can't wait till Vince plays HOuston. So we can see him throw 3 picks and have 3 sacks. Oh it'll be a beautiful site when Williams slams Vince to the turf.
Can you send me a link? Id like to save it on my hard drive. And why are you joining in on this love fest thread? Curious? Closet fan fo sure.
Well, you certainly didn't miss it. Hmmmm.... ____________________________ Anyhoo - the point of this thread was to talk about the fact that a Houston hero was way above the learning curve for a rook in the NFL (as a QB). VY is playing well and impressing the Titans ~ it won't be long before he will pass Volek. I think this is a surprise to a lot of folks that follow the NFL -- especially those who have watched Fisher bring players up slowly before.
Don't worry Riet, I got you covered. This is what Meowgi must have been talking about. Beautiful isn't it?
MARIO - REGGIE - VINCE Those names will be linked forever in Houston Sports History If they all good. . . . in Football History Like HAKEEM - BOWIE - JORDAN Rocket River
me? I'm not an aggie. Nice try though. Wanna guess again? But I do like the fact there are so many aggies on the Texans squad. Don't be upset that we passed on the QB. Anyways. I'll stay out of here. I don't want to be flinging poo around a thread about Vince. GO TEXANS!
