Smooth ball handler with great court vision. He took a couple of three pointers and missed badly. I wonder if he can develop a three point shot. With the way the NBA is going, and the way the Rockets run their offense, being at least an average three point shooter is important. All the Rocket rookies seemed to be enjoying themselves last night. I think it may help Royce to have Smith and TJones on the team right now.

agreed on this one. He still played against Dleague competition.
He has more talent than I thought on the rebounding side but I guess what we lack most is not ball movement but good Defense and intelligent decisions on the court.

He could run the show now with the second unit but I wish he was a better role player. Being a rebounder, post scorer and big time 3 point threat.
He sucks at being your star player.

his long arms are gonna help him in the NBA. it offsets the fact that he's an inch too short for the 4. I'm still excited about what this kid can contribute ...on the court.

White has a unique skill set that no other NBA player in the league has.

A big man who can bang in the paint and grab rebounds, but has PG abilities to handle the ball, run the offense and distribute.

He has a lot of talent, and a very versatile skill set, regardless of the chances of him becoming a good player. I could see why Morey was so reluctant to give up on him.

yah man...he takes over the court for sure... effects all areas of the game...passing , defense, rebounding , back to the basket offense, moving with out the ball, setting screens....

and passing...did you see those passes? He could easily be our best PF

Good for him having a decent first game after a long layover. Who knows what will come of his career, but hopefully getting back on the court is a positive thing for him mentally.

    Summary

    - Elite passing vision
    - amazing running the fast break perfect for rockets
-very good at boxing out and rebounding..

He should be played at the 4 or 5 only in defence
He needs to be under the basket defending, boxing out, rebounding and running the fast break.

He should have the ball in his hands as point foward.
    He is a natural creator

He be great off the bench.

Royce came into the league like 20 lbs heavier than Beasley, better handles, and better passing ability.

Beasley was one of the biggest ball hogs on his team when drafted. I don't see your comparison at all besides the fact that they are both hybrid pfs

White didn't look as flabby as the 790 guys were saying. Still, his mind is flabby. Walk your Talk big guy, and we'll all see.

Could be a solid second stringer if he gets in shape.

From all the responses I've seen on here and YouTube, the most recurring criticisms of his performance are:

    1) His one-handed rebounds
    2) His conditioning

I think it is easy to forget that this is his first proper game in nearly four months. He's bound to be rusty and it will take him a few games to get back into shape and find his groove again. I think he did a pretty good job last night. He showed us all what he is capable of and although he made some mistakes, they weren't anything he can't work on/improve. I like the way this is going and hopefully he doesn't have anymore setbacks.

I'll do the highlights for his game tonight vs. Legends tomorrow, so you can all expect that on here sometime during the day.
