I think you'll probably see a lot of changes in the core gameplay based on the new locomotion engine and on the fact that they revamped the rating system for players. Running is awesome now because of locomotion and the new blocking mechanics. You get real holes and so far it seems like you won't be able to take advantage of the AI to just sprint to the outside and down the sidelines. Opposing teams now also faithfully run their real-life offenses, so that might make single player gameplay a little more refreshing. I'd definitely download the demo if you are able to. It helped sell me a lot on the improved gameplay.
One of the things I've always hated about these games is that All-American is too easy and Heisman is too hard. I really hate having to tinker with sliders.
The game just came in, but it smells like the UPS driver let it sit on the concrete for about 10 hours. The box looks like it's on the verge of melting.
I've never really owned a college football game till now. Usually just wait till Madden. Is there any patches that put the players correct name? An EA edition would be awesome because I can truly trust them in this case.
EA can't use real player names because of licensing issues. Go to operationsports.com and there are named roster sets for 360 and PS3 that you can download.
Some coworkers talked me into getting the game. I'm usually more of a Madden guy, but the $40 Dell deal helped persuade me. Arrived a couple of days ago, but I haven't had a chance to play it yet (also trying to finish up inFAMOUS). Sounds like the game is pretty good. Guess I picked a good time to buy a NCAA game. I did play the demo and enjoyed it for the most part.
Running awesome plays in this game is awesome. They actually leave the DE unblocked so you can make your read.
Ya its pretty cool, they obviously listened to the community feedback this go around. Unfortunately running out of shotgun overall is somewhat difficult.
Shotgun running in these games is usually pretty dependent upon numbers (i.e. blockers vs. # in the box). I'm going to test out a few shotgun heavy playbooks this afternoon. I'll drop my feedback when I'm done.
