I know plenty. I even had a small Mad Max clip on youtube (until they deleted my account in their copyright cleanup). Some players are streaky. Vernon's one of the few that got UNCONSCIOUS when he's on - meaning he could do a running fadeaway granny shot while in the zone and feel good about its chances going in. Great athlete, willing to bet he beats all the current Rocket players in a footrace TODAY.

For that game Otis Thorpe was out. Maxwell and 2nd year Cassell were the only other scorers who could create. Okay maybe "one man team" is too strong a term, though its used sometimes for Lebron's Cavs and Kobe's Lakers. And I though it was general belief there wasnt a more dynamic scorer after Hakeem, which was why they got Drexler.

But its a Maxwell appreciation thread. And I'll brush up on my Rockets history more ;)

MadMax had a lot of clutch shots.

This one just stands out to me the most though. This is my favorite MadMax moment of all time.

I jumped out of my couch, me and my dad in disbelief at the shot.

I remember the next day at school, this is all we did. We would mock throw the ball away, and jump out of bounds and try and hit a three pointer.

Love the excitement by Sam Cassell.

    Love OT's Cosby sweater btw.

Look at that crowd! The energy right at the court! I forgot what we once had. Oilers were fading and the summit was the place to be, and people actually filled the front rows. People were up, screaming, like a big party.

    sigh

Other things that make me sad (other than the jerseys). CD on the sidelines, Mr Mean, and the Taco Cabana sponsorships. Good times
