SamE is terribly inaccurate so far, Secret Weapon Beck was wide open for the TD on that one. He missed a couple other throws earlier. OH HELL, as I'm typing he just threw up a perfect hail mary to LJH. Wow.
Refs did us 2 favors in a row on that last WV possession. "Horns down" is now an unsportsmanlike penalty? A little shove after the xtra point gets their all-bigXII starting LT ejected? Okay I guess.
I thought Boyd got away with a PI on WVU's first series. Horns down is worthy of a penalty. Same with the slap after the play, but it didn't look like a punch for an ejection to me. Also that holding call was quite weak, but WVU is able to advance anyway. We've had the benefit of some calls so far.
Payback? The color guy just said that you can't have a horsecollar tackle on the qb while he's in the pocket? Yet they called one on Roach? Is that true? I agree with the booth...this ref crew is questionable so far.
Front 3 took on all 6 blockers, 4 LBs forgot how to fill holes and/or move around the 2nd layer blocks... And THEN the secondary forgot how to take angles and tackle.

Thought so. Both were pretty chickensh!t calls, which was par for the course that whole half for both teams. These refs need to be reffing NAIA games next week, where they can do no harm. eta: 12 WVU & 6 UT penalties in the first half.
