Any clarification if pulling the base of the helmet and turning it is a penalty or not? That was a big no call that could've given UT a FGA in regulation.

I have to laugh at the overly critical Longorn fans.

They played their best game in years and found their future QB all in one game.

Should be happy with that result.

You aren't good enough to not be happy with that game.

    Final thoughts:

    - Damn good football game. Really tough loss but these kids went a full 10 rounds which nobody thought would happen. Way too many costly mistakes down the stretch including 2 red zone turnovers.

    - Herman needs to cut down on his own mistakes. I know the kicking game is suspect but sometimes the right call is trying for the points.

    - The concerns on Beck are really starting to realize. Through 3 games, we have no idea what type of offense we are or even want to be IMO. Ya we have 2 different QBs to work with but the lack of Warren in 2 of 3 games is ridiculous.

    - Last nights defense was the best I've seen in a long long time. The D-Line was outstanding and Malik was an absolute beast. Can't expect play like that every game but if we can get that type of intensity on a consistent basis, think we may have something going into conference play.

Not sure which rule would be applicable, but there's no way that should be legal.

Ford and Jefferson were pretty much the 2 best players on the field that game.

You are a fool. Plenty of teams have whipped that bonghorn ass. Texas has one championship since 1970. That is one national title in the last 47 years. Get over yourself. Texas fans are so delusional and you are ridiculous.

For sure. On the flip side, the OL has had 2 really bad performances so far. Injury to Conner Williams did not look good and Nilckeson/Okafor as your bookends is not a good situation.

They did a pretty decent job at pass protection last night, but there wasn't much push in the run game.

Two starts and Ehlinger looks pretty good for a true freshman. It's his spot to lose right now.

That kid can evade a rush and make a play.

He felt the nerves late in crunch time though.

    Lots of high passes.

But he was still in the game in formations blocking.

    Makes no sense

The qb inaccurate. Every the completions he made the throws were high or low. I wish vy could have just put on a helmet and go.

I think Herman was thinking he could bet on the D. They had been so stout, so that as long as we came away with points, they were going to keep us in the game. In that respect, the 2nd OT was even crueler -- we drove down to the 2 yard line, and they were completely stonewalled. Hopefully, they've learned their lesson.

Nobody likes to lose, but the D found something the whole game. Ehlinger showed some real grit, especially given the protection he was working with. All of the turnovers have some very teachable moments associated with them...

I was screaming for them to give Warren the ball all overtime, and especially before the fumble. I just didn't understand how we didn't try something different in the run -- heck, put in Toneil Carter.

Ya Herman said in his pressed that he thought about it but the Defense was playing well enough. Obviously the fumble was the absolute worst case scenario.

Seems like Texans/UT fans are in the same boat with Foreman/Warren. Why they aren't getting more touches is such a big question mark. And if not him, why not Herman pick in Carter. Porter has been completely ineffective since day one.

Your name has tmac in it. Clearly you're okay with losing. It's not acceptable for people who love winning. Longhorn football is about winning and has been for over 100 years.

What's weak is tmac's mind in the playoffs and I think that has had a big effect on you. You probably think the hall of fame is more important that a championship. That's a selfish mindset, not a winning one.
