A US Attorney is recommending charges against Andrew McCabe. This decision was apparently appealed within the Justice Department (I did not think that an ordinary person could do that) and the request was denied.

The charges are related to misleading statements made during the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

US attorney recommends proceeding with charges against McCabe

U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu has recommended moving forward with charges against Andrew McCabe, Fox News has learned, as the Justice Department rejects a last-ditch appeal from the former top FBI official. McCabe appealed the decision of the U.S. attorney for Washington all the way up to the deputy attorney general, but the department rejected that request, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The potential charges relate to DOJ inspector general findings against him regarding misleading statements during the Hillary Clinton email investigation.

    It is about time.

    Here we go....

This is technically true except that few administrations would use the DOJ in such a blatantly corrupt and punitively partisan political manner. Our current mistake-in-chief and his lapdog minions and supporters have no qualm with this aberrant behavior.

That said, there is plenty non-political reasons to bring down the mistake-in-chief and his family once we have corrected the mistake in 2020.

Flynn faints. Maybe CNN can find a contributor that won’t be indicted but I doubt it.

Why? Heres a summary of the report. Read that or read the report. You are an adult. Decide for yourself.

Why would I venture to interpret a regulatory report when I can await the outcome of an adversarial trial using our established judicial practices? If he's guilty of something, put him in jail. It sounds like you'd like me to conclude he's guilty of something without even hearing his defense.

JV: why would i read the facts of the case when the jury can make the decision for me?

whether i find him guilty or not is not determined by the opinions of random strangers (the jury). The outcome of the trial has no bearing on my thinking. I also think OJ is a murder.

Sounds like you just abdicate any thinking for your own. why even have a brain?

We don't have all the information about the alleged McCabe leak and lack of candor. We have the IG report, which tries to be impartial but does not have the arguments of a prosecutor nor the arguments of a defense. I could make a decision that deviates from a jury if I want, but why do so without all the information? Indict, and all the information will be presented.

I thought a prosecutor could get an indictment on a ham sandwich?

The anti-Trump coup plotters are apparently supposed to get a free pass.
