I read somewhere that the amount of injuries that occur on turf and grass are relatively the same. HOWEVER, it’s the type of injury that occurs on each that’s significant. Like acl and mcl tears happen more often on turf. And iirc that head snap onto the ground that CJ got the concussion from is worse on turf.
If Mills starts I hope he gets more than 91 yards like Stroud got last week against a bad team. We practically screwed ourselves out of the playoffs by losing to one of the easiest teams left on our schedule last week. The Titans are better than the Jets, and whoever starts will be down even more players than last week.
We may not have enough players to field a team. Seriously, the Texans need to take a hard look at their strength and conditioning program. We seem to have the most fragile players in the league.
Unfortunately, the injuries are even worse now on defense, and the Titans are better on offense than the Jets. Our defense couldn't stop the Jets from scoring.
It's so odd really how so many players in the league rarely miss games, yet we lose different guys every single week. Every single week! Some of our guys have already had more than one injury that keeps them out of the following week or two or more.
Me too. The sad part is that we had a good chance of even getting through the first round, but our injuries to key players showed how different we played, rain or not. The other team played in the same elements as us, and crushed us. Too many dropped passes, too many rushed passes, and a piss poor running game as usual. It's the defense that shocked me most. They couldn't do anything that second half. I still blame the coaches too. They got completely out coached the second half.
I agree about mistakes and lack of motivation in the rain but I don’t on the coaching in the 2nd half. NY adjusted and attacked our weakest core, linebackers. We still have no LBs that can cover or at least recognize the four quarters of the field if were in zone. Harris dropped out and had no one taking on the back or TE on multiple plays, Cashman did the same thing before he got hurt. You can win the middle of the field with dink and dunk and YAC if you attack our LB core. Let’s face it, we’re still starting a plethora of jimmy and joes that would be 2nd string or close to it on most rosters. That’s not even bringing Pitre in the convo who is absolutely awful at pursuit and tacking. Personally I would’ve not pressured Wilson much at all, bring four or five and make him make plays. There’s a reason why Ryan’s doesn’t favor man coverage right now and it’s because he has very few that can stay in man and win play to play……
