I have followed Steven Greer on Podcasts / Speeches before but haven't watched these. He is interesting.

There is another guy named Richard Dolan who walks through why disclosure has so many challenges.
1.) Liability - The sheer amount of lawsuits that could be filed would be staggering. People abducted, killed, patents, perjury, etc.
2.) With Aliens comes free energy, and that would completely destroy an entire industry almost instantly. The ripple effect of nearly every petroleum employee (and related upstream / downstream) instantly being out of a job would be catastrophic.
3.) Religious - If by chance we were seeded here by an alien race, you have just basically disproven every religious belief in existence. This would be apocalyptic and rob meaning from a ton of people.

    1) against the government? why would they be liable for anything....
    2) i do get this one. hell, i'm almost positive 95% of the work i do goes to some oil rig but i have the same feeling about this as i do solar panels. if i were the head of a major oil manufacture i would've been investing in solar panels 10 years ago so that i got to ride that wave of technology too. oil will die one way or another, either by moving on to something better or by expiring a finite resource. i have no doubt that in the "tomorrow" theory here that manufacturing jobs, plants, employees, markets, etc....everything would basically just start transfer to the newer tech. sure, there would be carnage and outrage for a minute....but people would figure it out sooner than later. as much as people hate change, people are also incredibly adept at doing it.

i'm sure solar panels and alien tech need mounting brackets too. so, we'd be okay.

    3) As much as I love to think we aren't alone...I've also been a church-goer most of my life. I'm not some overbearing zealot though and I know it's naive to think there are many people on this level with me but I have never, ever seen the disconnect between science and religion. it's a fake disconnect...to think that being able to explain something like weather for instance somehow takes away the mystery of faith? or to conversely say that a 2,000 year old book that's been translated and passed down and reformed and edited and so on has any merit in HOW WE EXPLAIN THINGS NOW??? And to see people "choose sides" like they do with everything and hurl insults like one of the two is correct when it's very possible, probable even that both are correct?

I don't see the disconnect. I think God and Science go together quite well. I don't think one disproves (or proves for that matter) the other. To me, god is and has always been on the other side of what science can explain. Science says "big bang theory" and religion says "7 days of creation" and to me it's the same story told by 2 authors. The explosion of everything that is, has ever been and ever will be could just be the consciousness of "I AM"

There is a strange relevance here, between space and science and aliens and God and it's all in the Futurama episode "Godfellas". For a cartoon, that episode is surprisingly on point about the nature of God.
