I think it's two-fold. 1. They want to scare him into thinking that could happen and they know that people will dig up all kinds of dirt, make it public, and ruin the person's life to punish them. 2. They hope that will keep future whistleblowers from doing their duty. I believe Rand Paul should be censured for doing that at the very least.
the main thing they want is to try to delegitimize the ongoing inquiry. just like when you hear your fire alarm and see flames, you sit down and call the detector company to see if a Democrat or Republican tested it at the factory. I mean, that’s what I would do.
Rand Paul has joined the ranks of Nunes, Jordan, Graham and Gaetz as the ultimate team of bootlickers. I feel sorry for the few humans left who think Rand Paul is some principled libertarian who doesn't care about accumulating power.
1. The Whistleblower doesn't matter anymore. It doesn't make or break the case against Trump. So anything the whistleblower did or didn't do just doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what party affiliations they have or don't have. 2. We know Trump broke the law. There is ample evidence to show this. 3. Given that, the only thing Republicans can do is lament that they can't possibly convict him because all of the evidence was gathered illegally and the procedures weren't followed correctly, so it all has to be thrown out. 4. Unfortunately for Republicans, the Democrats have followed all the procedures, they have gone above and beyond, conceding to Republicans procedural demands. 5. In the end, you still have a President who violated the law, has been caught at it, and along with Republicans are trying to hamper or obstruct the proceedings.
Trump actually wants physical harm done to the whistleblower. That's the type of person he is. His end justifies violence even civil war. Just like in his campaigns, he wanted protestors to be roughed up
D-Day : [to Bluto] War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one. Bluto : What? Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! Otter : [to Boon] Germans? Boon : Forget it, he's rolling.
So if the GOP legislators DO leak it, they break the law and if they DON'T leak it they don't have any balls. Gotcha. Yeah, just a low level staffer right? Discredit? Yeah, I'd say his previous biased political leanings does deserve scrutiny. They just started releasing the transcripts. How on EARTH could you possibly know this?
Schiff and the media were all clamoring for the whistleblower to testify until it was revealed Schiff was coordinating with him from the start. Whistleblowing is not a license to make anonymous accusations, it's protection from government reprisal. Of course the whistleblower is a CIA officer, deep state gonna deep state. Here's the whistleblower's attorney You can't make this stuff up.
Wrong as usual. Schiff and the media wanted the whistleblowers complaint to be released, so we could start investigating. Incorrect. Correct. Doesn't really matter anymore though. The whistle blower is irrelevant now that the crimes have been uncovered.
Maybe there's some argument here that I'm not understanding, and if there is a conservative here who can give me a cogent answer, it's probably you. Why does the political leanings of the whistleblower matter? Let's say he's the hispanic Muslim gender-nonconforming son of James Comey and he's in a secret but enduring romantic entanglement with Stormy Daniels. He hates Trump's guts with a passion. So, he was downright giddy to file a whistleblower complaint that could potentially blow up Trump's whole presidency. Does it matter? And why?
Lets start with his ability to provide 100% truthful, complete, and non biased testimony about a hated political rival. Potentially affects credibility.
