He's not that good a striker. I give him credit for the victory but he basically beat a bloated 155er too lazy to diet.

Head picks: 2 Heart picks: 0

I wanted both Swick and Penn to win even though I know better.

    Same with Gus vs Shogun.

Head says Gus. Heart says Shogun. I'm sure he's had a few boring fights in his career but I'm hard pressed to think of one besides maybe his 2nd fight against Coleman. Win or lose he always brings it.

Why does the Swedish guy keep backing off? If he shows a killer instinct he'd have finished this already.

Yeah the non-stop hair flips are quite annoying.

Nate Diaz's cocky attitude is annoying. Benson needs to whip his ASS! Not that Diaz will learn anything.

Yves is in Austin? He used to live, train, and teach out of Houston.

What do you guys make of this?

(he fights with a toothpick in his mouth, apparently Rogan asked him about it after the fight but I missed that interview watching the end of the Rockets game.)

In the post fight press conference he said he spars and fights with a toothpick "most of the time" but a few minutes later says he was just joking. Seems unnecessarily dangerous if true.

He says the above pretty early in this video.

You should watch Jose Aldo and compare his skills with Rory.

It looked like he got out of the shower . Unnecessarily dangerous indeed but outclassed Nate nonetheless.

On the post fight show on Fuel (really? the only the network without HD and this is what is supposed to help the UFC?) they discussed this. Supposedly Benson uses the toothpick as sort of meditation tool. It's like it keeps him calm and grounded or something, so that he doesn't lose awareness and get too out-of-control in the octagon. Whatever the case, I'm sure they'll be looking for it his next fight and make him spit it out.

Does he bite onto the toothpick when he fights, this is seriously dangerous because if he gets hit with a punch or kick he doesnt see, he could very well swallow the tooth pick and kill himself.

That is the reason why FOX showed an empty arena for a split second.

Supposedly knowing the danger keeps him calm or something. It's crazy.

I'm thinking Pettis beats Cerrone and then Pettis beats Henderson again.
