Lol, no. I have Ozarka sometimes too. I just like the look of the Fiji bottles, I've also noticed that people will take the Fiji bottle with them everytime. Ozarka bottles get left behind a few times.
FYI, I have never given a single bottle of water to anyone, and I maintain a 4.9 rating. Just good ole fashioned conversation is good enough for me.
Yeah, I love the conversations and networking. I'm pretty sure I could get away with not offering, but I don't mind. Hey do you have heat maps on your Uber app?
I use Uber all the time now. I love it. Is there a minimum car quality standard? I have never been picked up by a crappy car. The "worst" car I've been picked up by is like a 2012 Corolla.
Maybe, but I am not sure it is working correctly. I just hit the known hot spots on the weekends anyways, so I am not sure how effective it would be. The map does turn red in the surging areas though.
Will you make more money if you have a nicer / newer car? like based on tips I know Uber drivers aren't supposed to take tips but that'd be possible huh
I drive a black 2011 4 Runner, which is able to accept both UberX and UberXL fares. I keep it clean on the inside, obviously, and give it wash about every other week. In between washes, I make sure to give a quick wipe down with a microfiber cloth and dress up the tires and shine the wheels. This routine has been pretty successful for me. I think Felix drives a nicer vehicle, and therefore is eligible for the Uber Black fares. Have you watched the instructional video yet? Uber gives guidance on how to react if someone offers you a cash tip, which I find absurdly hilarious. I have been tipped several times and never mind accepting cash when somebody wants to give it to me. It is usually the intoxicated ones that offer it up.
Eventually an open source app will be released that performs the functions of Uber but with no middle man skimming off the top, just a transaction between driver/passenger. The one barrier to this is you need an entity to process the payment if it's not cash. That's where Bitcoin comes in. It's digital cash that requires no third party to verify a transaction. Drivers will build up enough reputation that you won't need a centralized entity like Uber backing them.
Hmm, I don't see it. Who do you complain to if something goes wrong? How would "they" maintain quality?
No one. Caveat emptor, don't take a ride from someone with a bad rep. The desire for customers incentivizes a quality experience. What does Uber provide that justifies 20%? They don't provide the car or the driver or the gas or the time. It's a huge inefficiency that can't last forever. The value is in the network, but a free app can provide that capability.
Uber provides the marketing and security. A free app may be able to provide the technology, but why would anyone drive for some unknown? The value is that everyone uses Uber. The consumers don't care what Uber takes from the drivers, they only care that a friendly driver arrives in minutes with a nice clean vehicle, driving for a reputable company such as Uber.
So . . as of now .. . . Say I want a Ride at Kirby and 59 The Uber Signal goes out to EVERYONE or just a specific person in the area If to everyone . .. . Do everyone race to the spot or does someone calls I GOT IT and the rest back off. . . With an open app . . .. a free for all . . .three cars show up looking like fricking Tow trucks kind of jocking for position Rocket River
So you must drive an UberBLACK, right? Because I tried to take an UberX from DFW to Uptown and it's apparently not permissible. Do you need a Lincoln Towncar to "qualify" for UberBLACK?
