    Why the Top 4 pick really matters;
    [IMG]
    Nikola Jokic was named league MVP, a league source confirmed to The Denver Post, becoming the lowest draft pick to ever win the award and the first Nuggets player ever to do so. The former record-holders were Giannis Antetokounmpo and Steve Nash, both chosen No. 15 overall. The Nuggets selected Jokic with the No. 41 pick of the 2014 draft.

    and

    Keith Pompey: The Sixers fans booed ref Scott Foster was announced.

    That is all.

    Those were very well deserved boos aimed at Foster. As for Jokic, I wish he wore our uniform.

    Despite my issues with Giannis, at #15, it's a steal.

    As far as Jokic, if we can't get him, can we hire the Denver scout who found him?

    joker. great player great season but absolutely wouldn't be mvp if embiid didn't miss over 20 games. the decision was incredibly easy this year given a top 3 finalist didn't even make it into the playoffs

    brick freak- nuff said

    you can go through the list of #15 picks and compare that to nash/brick freak. It doesn't change the fact, that pick generally sucks. some exceptions here and there doesn't overtake the overwhelming majority.

    The mediocrity pick known as Kawhi only wins Finals MVPs.

    Are you sure? 2013 #16 Lucas Nogueira was killing it for Cearense earlier this year.

    I'm reminded of another MVP-caliber player that was taken at #15 when we chose the Melo-with-defense at #14.

    Jokic can’t guard a fence post. Awesome play on offense with his passing and skill but he is closer to Jack Sikma than Hakeem Olajuwon.

    Joke is on Kawhi and the clowns who pay him - newsflash, even if you make it to the Finals its only 4-7 games out of 100 or so.

    ROI - look it up Baldmer

    I'm 99.999% sure there's something to the effect of a "We HAVE to draft Lucas Nogueira" somewhere down here.

    Yea, its a treadmill as in generally if you look at the percentages the chances of hitting a star are very, very low. You can take one or two cases , but thats not the rule, they are the exception to the rule. You can get talent anywhere in the draft as we have done, its just not science, it is an absolute crap shoot let alone talking about player development once you get them.
