Amare played center for a long time in Phoenix under D'Antoni. He won't foul out that easily because he doesn't play much defense anyway.

If the Knicks sign Amare AND re-sign Lee, they will not be able to afford Felton.

They could possibly construct a deal for Arenas involving Eddy Curry's expiring contract. That might be a realistic way for them to improve the team.

Monta Ellis would only be a possibility in a sign-and-trade involving David Lee. So, no.

I have to say I'm pretty happy about this signing. Depending on what the Suns do in the rest of the offseason, that's one less real competitor in the West. Dumping David Lee in favor of Stoudemire will result in a negligible improvement for the Knicks at best, but likely makes them a worse team short- and long-term.

Come on Knicks, get us some lottery picks!

I am starting to get pretty next to certain Lebron is having serious doubts about leaving Cleveland now and stays. I am almost sure he stays now.

And how much basketball do you pay attention to outside of box score watching?

I like Gallianari, but he's a SF, cannot be expected to play PF, meaning that's a problem given that their main target is a SF.
    Chandler I know little about.

And HARRINGTON? LOLOLOL. Knicks fans HATE the guy, as he's a complete chucker who plays no defense and is somewhat crazy. They don't want him back for a reason.
Either way, the points aren't all that important in the end given that they play an up-tempo style and someone on that team has to score points. Seriously, not impressed with those guys.

Amare is not enough to turn the Knicks around. It's like arguing with Knicks fans after the T-Mac trade. T-Mac was not going to turn them around. He was a salary dump. Unless Wade or Lebron is coming along, that franchise's fortunes have not changed dramatically. The rest of the team is nothing but scrubs.

Agreed. He was the freakin' starting center in the All-Star Game this past year.

Also, most notably, D'Antoni likes playing Gallinari at the 4.

yea for those guys citing the stats of knicks players, they played on a horrible team with an inflating system, doesnt mean they could be that productive on winners. Nonetheless, I really don't know how much more of an upgrade Amare is that David Lee. If he is the best player on this team, I don't see next season as too promising. If they do get Monta with Amare, that is atleast a dangerous offensive team inside and outside, but horrible defensively
