Wouldn't surprise me if they start deviating sooner than later. What's the quality of the acting for anyone who's actually watched it?
I watched the first episode. The acting is ok, hard to compare to Aaron and Bryan but the two guys do a good job. Only two complaints I had about the first episode were the music in the montages was not that good and Walt didn't grab his nuts when he quit from the car wash.

Acting across cultures might be incomparable - especially if it's different languages. A Malaysian actor winning their equivalent of an Emmy might be vastly different from Cranston winning his. It wouldn't surprise me if this was true, but I could be wrong.
Not exactly sure what you mean by that...there would be differences, but in this example, since it's all the same script/show, it should be comparable. I think the two main english actors were better at going from one end of the emotional spectrum to the other. From what I've seen so far, these actors in Spanish don't do that as well. They're both working from 4-6 on the scale, while Cranston and Paul could go from 1 to 10. Their change isn't as convincing, but maybe it's because the series is moving faster than the english version, or at least that's what it feels like to me.
