Season 6 starts back on September 10th. FX is going to take a page out of AMC's book and have a post show called "Anarchy Afterward". From everything I've seen, the show will focus a lot on Tara this season. This will probably be their second to last season from what I gathered.

How good is this show? I'm going to need a new show to watch after Breaking Bad and Dexter are finished.

It's a pretty good show. I've enjoyed it. It's worth checking it out. I just finished re-watching all of the episodes.

It's a great show. Even though I'm still watching Dexter, I think Sons of Anarchy is a much better show these days. Definitely recommend it.

Agreed. Terrible actress (though hot) and a total cliche.

Good show. Not upper echelon good but very good. Looking forward to the new season

    Not a Tara fan?

My wife was telling me the other night how she gets tired of Tara acting as if she is an innocent person.

That was my reaction, really glad she'd gotten locked up at the end of the last season because I thought it'd meant she'd have limited screen time.

Every season has been pretty good, except season three with the stupid baby. Tara's character is unbelievable. She's a doctor but dresses like a skank at the hospital. Can't stand her.

Yes I can't wait. I say they kill off Clay by midseason.

I consider this show upper echelon for active shows. It's definitely better than the last two seasons of Dexter.

Upper echelon. Throw out season 3 (except for the fact that the finale practically redeemed the season) and you have the best show on TV IMO.

Of course, this is from someone who quit on Breaking Bad halfway through the first season out of boredom.

I quit 4 episodes into Breaking Bad.

Sons of Anarchy is one of the best if not the best show on tv. IMO the only one that came close to SOA was Spartacus.

Hope they don't go the Tara route, she's my least favorite character.

It's ok but doesn't hold a candle to breaking bad. Dexter is a tad better. Like many shows, SOA tries to cater to the female demographic a bit too much, adding way too much soap opera with Tara and Gemma. When I want to see ass kicking and gunfights, they spend way too much time with these two chicks. Not really surprising though, considering that Katey Sagal (gemma, peg bundy) is married to the show creator.

Sopranos had chick soap operas too. I honestly like SoA better than Sopranos. Yes I said it

And when you say "the creator" of SoA, let's call him by name. Kurt Sutter. The creator of Shield, too. It's not fair for you to mention him like some joe who writes in a big part for his wife. Peg bundy is perfectly cast for that role

And we get to see many other roles filled by Shield actors/actresses, plus Drea De Matteo from Sopranos (Adriana),

Plus we see the emergence of Ray McKinnon (O' Brother Where Art Thou), who has a good role in Mud, too.
