Looking forward to this one (starts October 2). Hoping it will be like The Killing. Has Michael Pena who is usually pretty good.
Broadchurch was pretty great. I'll probably give this a watch for a few episodes and see how it is, but I don't really have high hopes. Like most remakes/adaptations, they're 99% of the time worse than the original.
OK, I will have to track down Broadchurch. But after episode 1 I am hooked. While the main female lead wasn't as strong as hoped, and the main male (police) character is a bit creepy (my older daughter was raving about him and the young reporter from other shows she watches), I enjoyed the pacing and story being laid out. I wish they weren't so heavy-handed with the trailers (OK, I get it... EVERYONE is a suspect). Obvious comparisons with The Killing (so far, prefer The Killing's leads and more impactful presentation), but it will be interesting to watch how this story develops.
the way all these shows go, cycle through every character as a red herring until there aren't any left
After the first episode I'm definitely looking forward to watching the series. Acting from all the main characters impressed me.
I'm not watching this because it is such a copy of Broadchurch. I mean, we've seen shows ported over, but they have either a story or a feel of their own. This is EXACTLY the same. Even the main actor is the same. And I really like Tennet... Broadchurch was great, great, great. I just feel like it's kind of lazy...
The first few episodes are the same......but they diverge at some point. The killer is not the same. By the way, Tennet is actually filming Broadchurch season 2.
