I think Lester was BSing at that moment due to him mentioning, very loudly " I am in the upstairs bathroom and the door won't lock" when he knew Malvo was approaching.

Just finished the series over the weekend. Absolutely amazing. The finale could not have been done better. Would rate it 8.5/10

monday morning matlocks and real matlocks, should have lester just turned himself in?
the evidence would not have held up in court right? it was obtained by a mailman illegally after shooting a man.

I'm going to say...loved it as much as the movie or even more!

Some early news about the plot for season 2, sounds pretty great to me.

I know I am a little late to this thread. I finished watching it a couple weeks ago and I wasn't overly impressed. Freeman and Thorton did a great job, but the rest of the writing and cast just didn't do it for me. I found it annoy how almost everyone was portrayed as a dimwit.

I wouldn't say all the characters, but certainly the less relevant characters come off that way. Pretty insulting to people from that part.

I enjoyed the show but to consider it one of the best of all time is a bit far fetched. I think to be quite honest the show is overhyped.

That the movie also portrayed the majority of characters as dimwits. It stayed in line with the movie. Are you 2' 3", cause I'm not sure how that went over your head.

I think his intention behind the comment "what is your point" was simply stating who cares if that is the way they are portrayed.

you still are not making a point. who cares if the movie also showed them as dimwits? How does that justify depicting an area of the country as dimwits (i would describe how they are portrayed as 'simpletons', but same thing)?

Right, who cares? Did I miss the uproar in the upper midwest at some fictional characters in a fictional story who just happened to be from the same area are portrayed as dimwits?

They also portrayed black men as being awful FBI agents and sons of Oscar winners being terrible actors. THE HORROR.

Sounds interesting, but I'm wondering how it will be as good as the 1st season without Billy Bob or Martin Freeman (Lester). Freeman was every bit as good as Billy Bob.

    Will definitely watch, though.

BTW, I've met some people from Fargo over the last few years (NDSU football fans) and they all HATE the movie.

This was EASILY the best work Colin Hanks has ever done, in that I was not completely annoyed by him. He fit that character well and I thought he did a solid job.
