    It is worth checking out.

Lots of story lines with bad guys being good and good guys being bad.

Watched it last night and thought it was pretty good. Nice blend of creepiness with humor and yes Bemidji is really creepy. ;)

I guess one has to assume Billy Bob's character (Lorne) slipped out the back door the way he came in. He was acting like he was going down the stairs into the basement to check it out. But, he could have done a 180 and slipped back out once the police lights were flashing through the window and he noticed. The basement didn't appear to have windows or a door as Nygaard was looking to escape down there before he knocked himself out. I'm also wondering where Nygaard's bag with the bloody hammer and bloody clothes went. Did Lorne grab those before he bailed? It does appear some time passed between when Nygaard killed his wife and the male cop showed up as Nygaard had the new clothes on. But, enough time to dispose the incriminating bag of evidence? And, I don't quite understand how all that blood ended up on the floor at the entrance door to the basement considering Nygaard took off all his bloody clothes and shoes in the basement. I assume it is implied Nygaard was clumsy and tracked the blood up the stairs after he removed his bloody clothes and shoes. A lot of stuff doesn't really add up at the moment. I wonder if they will explain it later?

Agreed. This show seems to be loaded with actors I recognize. Really looking forward to seeing how it develops.

It's kind of fun to watch but just doesn't seem very details-oriented and feels kind of superficial. It still feels like it is about portraying people with Fargo-style accents as dumb. There are some name actors that keep showing up...which is cool.

But, it's like watching the opposite of "True Detective". Check your brain at the door.

I find the characters and acting interesting enough to overlook some of the faults. This last episode was bleaker than the first so I'm curious to see how they move forward.

Billy Bob is killing it on this show, one of the best bad guys I've seen.

Totally, he's perfect in that role. Like the call back to the actual movie in this last episode.

I want to sit at a bar and have many beers with Boyd Crowder, Lorne Malvo and Rust Cohle.

Great show all around. I am suprised it's not getting more attention on here. Four episodes and only a few pages worth of discussion.

I'm 3 episodes in and I'm really liking it. Like others have said, BBT is really stealing the show. Great career move for him.

I was determined to not get into this one late like all the other shows everyone talks about and so far I'm not regretting it.

Just came here to post that I'm genuinely amazed at how good this show is. That's how you pay tribute to the film, get a clue robert rodriguez, whose own show was intriguing at first but has turned into a bunch of scribble.
anyways billy bob looks younger and healthier than he did 16 years ago.:p

I'm even enjoying Colin Hanks in this, and I usually can't stand him.

Every episode starts with 'this is a true story but we have changed the names for the privacy of the survivors' or something like that. I can't believe that's true. How easy would it be for anyone curious to track down the real names given all the details in the show? Changing the names really protects nobody.

Martin Freeman should get an emmy.

Same intro they had in the movie. Of course it's not a true story.
