I'm pretty psyched about this. It's based on the best adult comic out there right now by the same name. Shooting is just about done and the series (six episodes) premieres in October on AMC, same channel that airs Breaking Bad and Mad Men. In a nutshell, it follows a small-town Sheriff, his family and some other survivors during the zombie apocalypse. Directed/Produced by Frank Darabont (he doesn't direct all of the episodes), the director of The Shawshank Redemption, The Green Mile and The Mist, all awesome flicks. Tons more info HERE. omg! I am super ****ing excited!!!! Have you ever seen Dead Set? It's another zombie series, but from the UK.
i've been on a huge zombie kick lately. just finished world war z by max brooks and it scared the **** out of me. really looking forward to this.
You should absolutely check out The Walking Dead comics then. And the Autumn series by David Moody is really chilling. I can only read one of those books every several months.
I finished that book a little while ago......the realism is what got to me. I LOVE the entire zombie genre, and I am so hyped about this. I can't wait til it comes out!
There has been talks of a World War Z movie for quite some time. I haven't heard anything concrete yet. Last I read, it is in development and scheduled to come out in 2012. Which might be the year we actually have a real zombie apocalypse. The Zombie Survival Guide is a also a good fun read..
It's definitely a go. Word came out yesterday that Brad Pitt would officially be staring. Also, it was Brad Pitt's company that won the bidding war for the rights against Leonardo DiCaprio's company. They also bought the rights to the Zombie Survival Guide and the graphic novel.
