    Big Ed is done.

I'm cool with it. He was a great teammate and player. Represented UH very well.

What I'm not cool with is all the phony crap surrounding the end of his tenure.

He's making a business decision, not a football or medical decision. Just come out and tell us that.

UH's season ended at Dallas, and then buried by Temple. There was such potential, all thrown away by an incompetent defense. Nothing left but a meaningless low ranking bowl game. I am really disgusted with Applewhite. He made the call on the defensive coordinator and it was the wrong call.

We basically have to win the next 2 and pray Smu loses next 2 just to reach the conference title game.

The only good thing about Major Applewhite is that at least nobody is going to want to hire him away.

QB is out luckily they have a decent lead. In 2nd half I bet Tulane makes it a close game but Houston will pull it out.

Any word on King? Looked strange, a non-contact injury of some kind.

Ed Oliver is done. He will never play another down for the Cougars. That stupid fight with Applewhite settled what we probably already knew.

Ha. The be true to your school act is a bit much Major.

Some people are able to play for money without having to play for free.

    Respect their choice

Time to move on from Applewhite. Recruits are going to see that clip of him embarrassing his best player over a jacket. What a small-minded thing to do.

It's not a good for anyone. Probably won't change where Oliver gets drafted. But, this isn't something you want on your resume.

I really don't care about Oliver who was jumping around before the game like he was fully able to play. He is doing a "Clowney," and isn't trying to help his team. He is protecting himself for the NFL, whatever. What about King!

Handled poorly by both of them. Ed wasn’t going to play again, it was obvious, and Major obviously holds a grudge about that. I do not like Major Applewhite, but he was sending a message. This wasn’t about a coat.

On the previous drive when he scored the td on a qb keeper he just beat the linebacker to the endzone and slipped on the hard surface out of bounds.
Got up and seemed alright but it may have contributed to/caused the injury.
Kinda like last year the hit Deshaun took in the Seattle game may have done the same thing.

    Sure hope he's okay!

Oliver a couple of seasons from now, " applewhite told me I'd be nothing more than a THIRD round pick."
