Source: https://www.facebook.com/TourTaiwan 臺灣觀光局與休士頓火箭隊聯合行銷進軍美國職籃市場 中華民國交通部觀光局駐洛杉磯辦事處與休士頓火箭隊於今年1月22日起合作推廣臺灣觀光，全力開發美國第4大城休士頓的旅遊市場。為有效提建構臺灣品牌，提升臺灣觀光知名度，臺灣觀光局調整其行銷戰略，將臺灣與美國道奇球團合作的成功模式引入NBA職籃市場，希望藉由和臺灣之光林書豪所屬的休士頓火箭隊合作，讓美國民眾能認識臺灣，進一步前往臺灣體驗自然與人文風光之美。 休士頓火箭隊副總裁John Corley說：「我們很興奮能與臺灣觀光一起合作，去年10月我們有機會體驗美好的臺北，尤其是臺灣火箭隊球迷的溫馨接待，我們會鼓勵所有的火箭隊球迷親自前往體驗。」 觀光局駐洛杉磯辦事處林信任主任表示：2013年國際觀光客赴臺灣旅客人次突破800萬人次，今(2014)年更要往900萬人次目標努力邁進。雖然美國經濟恢復緩慢，臺灣觀光要在異軍中突起，確實是需要在行銷策略下功夫，把握最佳時機，開發新市場。研究顯示運動行銷是最容易鎖定目標客群，開拓新市場的有效行銷手法。 臺灣觀光局駐洛杉磯辦事處與休士頓火箭隊密切接洽，終於將「Taiwan – The Heart of Asia」的logo及行銷標語搬進美國NBA職籃的殿堂，結合Huston Rockets及Toyota Center作臺灣觀光雙品牌行銷。為加深NBA球迷對臺灣觀光的印象，觀光局特別在場邊計分板(Courtside LED Signage)、球場兩端邊界線看板(Baseline LED Signage)、籃板架看板(Basket Stanchion LED Signage)及體育館出口看板(Lower Bowl Vom Exit LED Signage)等處刊登看板廣告，自1月22日起於火箭隊在Toyota Center與球迷見面。此外，臺灣觀光局近期推出的臺灣好禮APP (Taiwan Giveaway)的Banner廣告也會在火箭隊中英文官網(Rockets.com)輪播，讓球迷們能透過多方管道旅行臺灣。
