Btw this is looking like it is a hoax, none of the traffic cameras can corroborate the story and the guy kept the rope around his neck for at least 45 minutes waiting on police to arrive... So this is potentially fake news posted to deflect from other fake news that got exposed as a fraud.
This story requires me to believe that some white supremacists where driving around in zero degree Chicago weather (MAGA country) at 2AM with bleach and a rope. They just so happen to stumble upon and recognize a supporting actor from Empire (white supremacists watch this show all the time) heading to a Subway shop and attacked him. Both would seem extremely unusual. If this is a hoax, the most likely scenario is that he got into a real altercation with someone or had some accident (maybe something embarrassing), and made up a story. But who knows until more facts are reported.
Smart post, it's probably better to wait for all of the facts to come out before drawing conclusions. Not doing so would only lead one to embarrassing themselves and their entire family.
