    it is not too far-fetched, as

    there is already the 21st Century Silk Road Initiative, aka One Road One Belt, an ambitious infrastructure project that aims to connect Asia to Europe and Africa, by rail and sea. Except for the US, Japan and India, countries of economic relevance (including Taiwan, SK, Singapore, Canada, Mexico, EU, Russia, etc) have already joined.

    The only other significant American "Motor Cycle" company and they are called "motorcycles") also announced its looking at moving manufacturing overseas due to trump's tariffs:
