That’s exactly what they were going for and Tapper walked right into it by even accepting to interview someone he knew wouldn’t answer any real questions, would choke up the interview by going at lengths and repeating himself just to take up time, attack CNN on their own network, and force the interviewer to get defensive. I’m disappointed they are still booking these guys because it serves nobody but Trump who thinks this equals winning by AGAIN having success at any level (even an interview) judged in how hard you can troll liberals.
I know the trump supporter reaction will be the "see, the media won't even give him "courtesy" of a chance to answer" but honestly, Miller is a complete a$$hole and undeserving of courtesy. That said, the question of trump's admin sending vile people out to Sunday shows with no honest intention to answer questions simply layers onto trump's unwillingness to answer media questions. There is always Fox News for trump people to go out and do campaign speeches and advertisements... and all people should expect Tapper to not be willing to listen to it on his show. This is the outcome of trump's day 1 war with media and larger intention to further divide the country.
We must for now on never trust the media unless it is a right-wing media source aligned with Trump. If Trump says it's good, then it's good. Otherwise it's all lies!
Chavez used to send deliberate 'fake' news to reporters so that he could discredit them and point fingers. It's an old but very efficient method. with so many reporters stooping to trump's level with eagerness to take him down, they better triple check sources then quatruple check them after that.
Its already been reported that Trump's regime does this routinely. MSNBC was sent fake emails last year that gave clear evidence of collusion, but luckily everyone caught that they were faked. Its amazing that nobody took the bait. We only at the start of year 2 folks. With the unchecked power this regime currently has, its going to get alot worse this year. Unfortunately I think our country will never be the same.

The host was professional, trying to get the guest to answer the questions. Miller, never answered the questions, but instead pivoted to his talking points to attack CNN. Tapper attempted to re-direct, then the jerk pivoted to his talking points again. the jerk came off small, Tapper called the Jerk out, "you're talking to an audience of one. Being obsequious, you're trying to please him, you've wasted enough of my viewers time.", and then continued w the show, sans the Jerk, who tried to talked over the host. Calling out the jerk for what he is is not defensive. It has been reported that Miller refused to leave the set, and CNN security had to escort the Jerk off the set
No I think Tapper acted great, and appropriate. The problem I have is he knew that Miller was coming on his show to do exactly what he did to curry favor with Trump for trolling CNN. Tapper did what he could, but he (or his producers) never should have booked Miller in the first place, and put themselves in that position. CNN refused to book KelleyAnne sometime ago because of this. There is no reason why they should have expected Miller to give a legit interview.
Tapper might also consider it a success for 'exposing' Miller and embarrassing him with the escorted-out-by-security story.
Who was he exposing him to that would have made a difference? This is the guy who jumped out of the stands during a girls track meet to prove that men are more superior athletes than women. If you pay attention to politics, you know that Steven Miller is an insane, entitled bigot troll. If you don't pay attention to politics, you aren't watching State of the Union with Jake Tapper.
