It makes it vastly harder for them to do it. Tunnels can be found. Planes can be shot down. You're putting a non-starter. Immigration is a problem considering there are lots of Americans on welfare now. It causes wage depression for ordinary working folk, not to mention crime and the creation of ghettos. Suggesting the way to stop your enemy from cheating is to let him win is asininely stupid.
The creation of ghettos occrued from redlining during the Jim Crow days and the resultant 'white flight'.
Is that why equally qualified black families were denied housing mortgages ore Civil Rights relative to white families thus forcing them to be stuck in the inner city with their **** local public school infrastructure that is funded by property taxes which since it's a **** neighborhood, is low thus low funding thus poor black kids with **** education thus... Hey, it's a ****ing cylce.
Certainly a problem as well, but a different one from migrants coming into the country and not integrating. C'mon, I know you're smarter than this. You take engineering. Be more consistent in arguing.
Nah. Drones and electronic monitoring is far cheaper than a wall. Regardless, there wont be a wall or a deportation force.
It is mostly a non-issue, especially considering the whole "Jobs" issue. There was a recent study on that...then you have net immigration...honestly some people just don't like truth and facts. I also think most people that think a wall would work are people that seem to be completely ignorant of how cartels smuggle people in and out of the country. A wall makes it harder, sure. Can't deny that. But is it worth the price of it? Seems like that money would be better spent elsewhere...
politicians lie!?!?, you don't say... get used to it, they'll be many more. here's barokabama's list http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/rulings/promise-broken/
Title is Trump break #1 promise, not that he lie (not that he doesn't.. he's a master of it). And to be fair, they over-promise and under deliver. That's what politician do. But Trump isn't suppose to be a politician, but an outsider. And so people (that believe him) will hold him up to a higher standard of delivering what he promises. If not, yeap, he's just like any other politician. So him breaking #1 promise is a big deal.
^ well, that just did it. Trump is going to make building the wall his #1 priority of the day, for today, until the next thing violate his ego.
Well, "Congress" will now pay for Trump's wall, according to Ryan and McConnell. Of course, then they spin down the cost of Trump Wall by saying Congress will pay for the $12B-$15B Trump Wall, when more realistic estimates of such a wall range upwards to $40B. http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/mcconnell-ryan-congress-pay-trumps-12b-border-wall/story?id=45063195
That's what I believe. Dangerous, crazy, not ethical might be closer. I don't think people that voted for him see him as more corrupt.
"We intend to address the wall issue ourselves and the president can deal with his relations with other countries on that issue and others," McConnell told reporters at the GOP policy retreat in Philadelphia. LOL. IOW, tax payer will pay for it and Congress isn't foolish enough to get involved in demanding money from Mexico. Good luck Trump.
https://www.thisamericanlife.org/radio-archives/episode/608/the-revolution-starts-at-noon?act=3#play Thought act 3 was an interesting listen. Interview from a border patrol officer that runs an online podcast. He's not personally for the wall but appreciates the support he received from Trump who spoke to his colleagues that he also shares a podcast with. It looks like he wants more reform done to prevent the catch and release of illegal immigrants and to be able to focus on actual Cartel members instead of innocent illegals trying to make a better life for themselves. Most illegals are just trying to seek asylum from the 3rd world livelihood they're exposed to in their homeland. It seems the issue really stems from not having enough judges to do hearings on whether to deport an illegal immigrant or not. Some cases can take up to 6 years before an illegal immigrant is given a court date. By then they will have disappeared and created a new identity for themselves. There's already 700 miles of wall along our border 18 feet high. Know what happens? Illegal immigrants take with them 19 foot ladders. That wall is going to provide so much protection. Just think of how beautiful the Rio Grande river will be with a large Trump wall alongside it. Think of the majestic beauty of Big Bend National Park with a wall of concrete alongside it. It's going to be soooooooo great. What's funny is of that 15 billion, if they just gave $1.25 billion towards funding college education, Texas college students would receive free college instead. But let's dump that money on a wall. It's going to be great, right?
Trump said throughout his campaign that initially we would be fronting the bill for the wall and that he didn't expect Mexico to hand us one big check, but it would be paid over time By the time we're done reaming Mexico's butt they'll be begging to pay for the wall. Stop the flow of money to them, modify NAFTA, increase tax rates for importation, and return their citizens... heh
I agree punishing an ally for not supporting a stupid idea is a great idea. We should totally ream those people!
