No, don't get me wrong, Harden didn't have nearly the help those other players had. I think Morey failed him
20 percent blame harden 20 percent blame Morey 20 percent blame tilman 40 percent blame luck harden could have played better and hit shots Morey could have made more right moves and gotten more talent around him Tilman could have paid the luxury tax once but other players could have played better , not gotten hurt , the refs could have been in our favor , or the other team could have played worse for just one game ... and we could have had a ring . we got very close , against historically great teams .. AND you can argue that a lot of things went against us . The CP3 for WB year was the beginning of the end for harden in Houston ... unless he was willing to sit out for a year .. or maybe have a cp3 like body transmission... it can still be done later in the career ...but harden is his own man .. and that’s why he gets 20 percent of the “blame” Had we kept CP3 we could have kept harden. Had Morey not paid such a high price for CP3 maybe we would have had enough ... had Tilman not pressured Morey to make the WB move ... had Morey not said anything about Hong Kong ... The package from the nets was OK . Max draft assets and good for flexibility. We moved on . Hey harden can come back for vet Min or MLE off the bench if he wants to later in his career or next year Lmao .
