I think its seen often when comparing cultures, usually the West to 'x.' Many liberals seem to be relativists and I don't think that's consistent with 'universal rights.'

Quick Book Reccomendation For All:

What's So Great About America by Dinesh D'Souza. The author is an Indian Immigrant. He deconstructs some of the myths from both the Right and the Left about America. Very interesting read regardless of your political leanings but I will warn he tends to lean towards the right as he was an advisor for the first Bush administration.

 

Terrorists torturing Americans? Bad.
Americans torturing terrorists? Good.

Glad we got that cleared up. I was worried that we were sinking to the same despicable standards that we hate our enemies for.
