Two seasons after he told you Jermaine O’Neal was the answer, six months after he told you Hedo Turkoglu was the answer, on Monday Colangelo insisted he isn’t far from hitting on the actual answer. Never mind that his only all-star, Chris Bosh, is committed to testing free agency. Never mind that, in a guard-driven league, Toronto’s starters are certifiable second stringers. Never mind that Turkoglu’s massive contract appears as immovable as Jose Calderon on defence — not to mention Calderon’s contract. Never mind the toothless (and cheap-as-they-come) coach who is “learning” on the job, and slowly.

Colangelo actually attempted to sell his audience on the notion that MLSE is in these games to win these games.

“The plan is to win basketball games at whatever cost,” Colangelo said at one point.

Just a silly comment inspired by random comparisons made by fans and on NBA draft websites like draftexpress.com talking about how Player X is the "Poor Man's Player Y" "Broke Man's Player Y" or a "6'4'' version of Kyle Lowry."

I caught myself trying to think about what Chase Budinger can become early in the season and nd somehow thought of Joe Johnson (whose has differnt skills than Bud, obviously, like running the point) and thought both of them are big atheletic wins who can shoot both can shoot, and just thought the "Black Joe Johnson" would be a funny comparison.

Meh, I wouldn't mind Turk's contract... if Bosh comes along with him, and we don't have to give up much of anything else.

Dave Feschuk is the number one hater out of the journalists in Toronto.

He was the one who ripped on Vince Carter when he was in town, Sam Mitchell when he was, and has written some negative pieces on Bosh as well.
