How difficult would it be to give your headlining stories a bbs thread...then making the headline a hypertext link to the actual bbs forum thread. This would tie the Clutchcity breaking news to a discussion about it. You could do the same thing with the Chronicle articles by adding a |discuss topic| link with the headline. This way I can use the front page to find a good topic rather than always having to file through the BBS. Plus, it would have the side benefit of limiting redundant threads about breaking news. People will eventually learn the thread linked to the front page will get the most reads/posts. Right now, I find myself not using the front page...instead I'm bookmarking the BBS Forum. If you placed links to threads on the front page, i'd bookmark that.
