I wonder if this will piss off the league since Watson is really gaming the system/punishment. I don't think the league can push his punishment until the following season but maybe they give him a 1 year suspension instead? Not really a financial hit for him, but would punish the team that did the restructure.

Man, it's nice to be thinking about our draft strategy instead of following Watson's legal cases. Enjoy it, Cleveland!

    NOT OUR PROBLEM ANYMORE!! YEEEEEAAAAAAH!

Exactly. Trade actually looks better hearing this news. Caserio struck at right moment.

Harris county wasn't interested in getting an indictment, probably for a whole host of reasons......Brazoria county is a completely different story.

There's different politics at play, and Watson likely doesn't have friends in high places helping protect him.

Also, with the trade done, the indictment would only screw over Cleveland interests, not Houston interests.

Now I don't think they win a case against him, but an indictment could keep him out of the league for another year making the Texans' compensation that much better.

That makes a lot more sense than the first thing you put up.

Nope, turns out he's going to get away with it in Brazoria county too.

Oh well, at least the victims have the one year of his career they were able to take from him and MAYBE some of them will get paid.

Tony throwing everything at the wall, see what will stick

STATEMENT FROM BRAZORIA COUNTY DA TOM SELLECK: “After a careful and thorough review of the facts and evidence documented in the reports prepared by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s and the Houston Police Department as well as hearing testimony from witnesses the Grand Jury for Brazoria County has declined to charge Deshaun Waston with any crimes. The matter is closed.”

Why can’t they wait to suspend him? Apparently they’re suspending people for “no reason” since they’re not being found guilty of a crime…

“Doesn’t matter Brian… lots more women to come Brian…”

all jokes aside, we all know he’s got a sex addiction right? This many women? And countless more that didn’t have to come forward because it was part of their “trade”.

This sort of behavior/addiction also just won’t go away… the outcome he wanted has a very strong chance of reinforcing things.

You mean the year where the Texans paid Watson $10 million (funding his lifestyle & defense) to sit out of the public eye and be quiet (protecting their trade plans)? LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, sadly that'll be the only punishment he faces..... and you were really upset about it.

If it were up to you, he wouldn't have faced any punishment at all.

It seems like the biggest punishment Watson is going to face is playing in Cleveland.
