    Im sure everyone has realised that tmac's freethrows have improved the last 3 games and its a good sign. I've been looking at his stroke and he is more balanced with his shot and doesn't lean back as much and as a result a straighter free-throw.
    Anyone agree?

    The power of good sleeps, which Yao desperately needs.

    Law of averages right? I don't know if he changed anything drastic, but everyone else needs to get back to their FT% avgs at least.

    Tmac gets some lovin from the ladies before the game so it calms him down.

    Thats why he does better on the road. More lovin.

    I beg to differ.

    Whoever it is reported that he got into a 3pt/FT shooting contest with Luther, I believe that to be the turning point.

    Who would've thought TMac would've hit 21 FT's in a row prior to the shooting contest?

    My understanding is TMac gets in a lot of shooting contests with people and often wins.

    Yeah, he said he beat up on Jon Barry in shooting contests. Though Barry promptly denied it. :D

    while tmac was injured, he worked with a freethrow shooting coach and changed his form slightly. he also does this double pump ritual now before shooting to get himself set. his form looks much improved.

    Obviously, it is a depth perception issue. He must be perceiving the depth better lately.

    Tracy's free throw percentage over the past three games: 90%. He's made 9 of 10 free throws over that span.

    In addition, he's also shooting 52% percent from the 3-point line as well by shooting 9-17.

    Hopefully this is a sign. He looks great on the court right now.

    Knock, knock, knockin' on a woody door...

    STOP JINXING HIM.

    Oh by the way it's kind of said to see that, although he is shooting well, he only has 10 free throws for the last THREE games. It's all good. As long as he's shooting well and the Rockets are winning games.

    T-Mac is shooting 74% on the road, and 54% at home.

    If you haven't noticed yet, T-Mac's streaky. This road trip he's regained his shooting not just at the line but everywhere else too.

    UTH 10-24 FG 1-7 3PT 0-3 FT
    @Ind 6-19 FG 3-6 3PT 4-4 FT
    @Mil 14-27 FG 2-5 3PT 3-4 FT
    @Min 10-21 FG 4-6 3PT 2-2 FT

    January v February (small sample size but oh well)
    FG% .443, .448
    3PT% .217, .529
    FT% .438, .900

    Oh and if he keeps up this pace, T-Mac will have his best 3-point shooting season as a Rocket. 33.6% lol. I want to cry.

    Tmac's FTs have always been very inconsistent, along with his form.
    He has a consistent release point, but his arch is inconsistent. He has good mechanics, but he doesn't always put a lot of arch into his FTs. This may/may not have something to do with fatigue because he was shooting in the 80s early in the season.
    But no matter how a good of a FT shooter you are, if you don't get to foul line consistently enough then its essentially a waste. Thats why Tmac needs to attack the basket more, but granted he is still getting less than 100% from his knee

    so i read this and went to espn.com for his home/road splits.

    its crazy how much his ofensiove output overalll goes down when he's home

    He shots 46% on tha road, and 39% at home

    He shoots 36% from 3 away and 29 % from 3 at home

    He's average 26 ppg away and 16 at home.

    Maybe gettin a low seed is tha best option for us

    I find it amazing that Tracy has only gone to the free throw line 10 times in 3 games. I know he's been shooting some jumpers, but he's going to the basket too. He should be shooting 7-8 free throws a game, at least. I also find it amazing that Yao doesn't go to the line more.

    Bullard brought up an amazing stat last night. The Rockets are the top team in the NBA with points in the paint, but near the bottom for free throw attempts per game. That is amazing and I think it shows that refs still don't know how to ref Yao.
