Knowing we have cap room that had been reserved for Bosh, I'm wondering if the Rockets strategy is to now load up on 2 or 3 lesser-tier free agents that would fill up the cap space, before ultimately matching the deal on Parsons. If that's the case, could we see more signings within the next 36 hours?
Once the asik deal goes through we should have what, another 9 million to play with? Who do we get with that? Check me on that figure.
Gotta save some of that for capela. We could still re-sign parsons who could pitch in at the 4 while ariza backs up harden. They should have no problem getting 35 minutes per game splitting minutes at the three. Capela, daniels, brooks....who else?
Llull could easily start at PG. Papanikolaou is a great shooter. Leunen is showing up in summer league.
Got to figure we need some depth at point guard. Agustin is the most intriguing name I've seen so far. Plus, you know that would like to have some more movable contracts now that Lin and Ask are gone...
Hopefully. Maybe even trade for a good 4 with that cap space as well. Load up on depth and roster flexibility and versatility.
The problem with that is that Terrence Jones is our best trade asset at this point so we'd be losing a 4 to gain a 4.
Jameer Nelson or Aaron Brooks to replace Lin. Unless we somehow pull of a Rondo trade or Bledsoe deal.
