I think we have to look at trading Harden while his stock is still good. Realistically we have to accept Harden will not lead this team to a championship. Perhaps the $200 millions from Adidas had something to do with it, but it looks to me Harden basically has resign to just focus on getting his points and not bother to try on defense. He's just cruising at this point. He slows the offense down too much when he has the ball on his hands. How many times we see him hold onto the ball and pass it at the last seconds or turn it over. This kills team chemistry. We need a new star that is more driven to give it all in both side of the court, someone like Draymond Green. We need a type of leader that will glue everyone together and motivate them. It's time for Morey to look at what he can get for Harden. In fact, Morey should also look at trying to get Whiteside from Heat and trade Dwight away. Dwight has too big of a flaw in my book. He has no post game and get careless with the ball too often. Not to mention hack-a-dwight is annoying. And last, Morey needs to pursue Luke Walton or Thibs. Good coach is critical to success. Look at what Mavs has accomplish with a bunch of rejects.
Red first sentence, remembered what Les said about Harden on broadcast vs GSW, Harden is never going to be traded.
I'd take Butler for Harden then start Lawson to compensate for the lack of a play maker. Chicago wouldn'tdo it though.
You can't just say trade a player- trade him for who? Who can we realistically get for Harden who is better? Who is willing to give us a better player than James Harden? Trade him peanuts and go back onto the mediocrity treadmill?
Lawson Thornton Butler Motiejunas Howard Pull the trigger Morey! So sick of Harden hogging the ball every game
I wish we were mediocre. We're a step below mediocre. That said, the primary reason we appear to be absolutely effed is because you cannot get full value when you trade a superstar. It has never happened. The best you can generally do is trade them for a few young promising players and draft picks. Which would mean a rebuild. That said, there is absolutely no reason not to trade Dwight if anybody has made a reasonable offer for him. He's not going to get any healthier and he's going to expect a long term super max in the off season.
No chance before the offseason. But if the Lakers win the lottery, would you trade him for the #1 pick?
Paul George, please. If not, then Jimmy Butler and quite a bit more. Like Harden, Brewer, Tjones for Butler, Gibson, Snell, and a future first rounder.
