We’ll find out real soon if this guy is “really” about winning or just another rich owner with a desire to own a professional team.....
Granted we always seem to be injury struck and that can be expected being one of the oldest teams in the league. But some significant moves need to be made if we are truly going to challenge GS. First off, our defense is nowhere near NBA Title level. If the owner wants to go over the luxury cap to make the necessary trades/moves he will. If he is content with leaving things “as is” then that is his perogative. We will soon see how deep of a desire he has (or does not have) for taking us to the next level. One thing is clear, even if miraculously everyone is healthy on this team, we still have too many holes to win the title. Scary thought is that we were told that Anderson and Gordon were injury prone and they along with Ariza have been the healthiest this year.
With everyone healthy we were blowing teams out every night, had a 14 game winning streak and #1 record in the league. Not sure how you think we have “so many holes”. On the subject of making a move to get to the “next level” please tell me what available player is out there that can do that?
This team has obvious holes to fill and money has zero to do with it... the constraints are that we're mid-season, so most players aren't available to pick up. It's not Tilman's fault that NBA teams have roster rules..
Remember when le$$ was gone off dollar beers and verbally assaulted a ref for gargling on westbrooks balls?
One thing I definitely noticed since Les sold the team is that Morey is never on the hotseat anymore. Remember when McHale got fired? Morey did a press conference and it looked like he hasn't slept in 3 days. It was clear at the time Les put a lot of pressure on Morey to make a move. When Tilman took over, he even said he didn't know much about the league so he's leaving his sons in charge of the team. Morey knows he'll never get canned when his boss is an NBA newbie. We'll find out next summer if Tilman is willing to pay the lux tax to win.
