I think that's exactly what is happening. Trump winning has empowered people who had kept these views out of the public discourse. Now they want to be loud and proud about their beliefs.

Where does the Republican Party find these lunatics? (I'd post a wink with that, but what is coming out about Moore is simply too disturbing.) A very unlikely Senate seat is now in play. Legally, they can't remove Moore's name from the ballot. Whoever they replace the pervert with will have to be a write-in. Wow.
