The Warriors had somewhat of a rival last year with the Rockets, but now that they have fallen off the map no team can make things interesting. The reason whe warriors have ruined the league is because they are just too good. No team will beat them 4 times. There have always been super stacked teams. The lakers, celtics, spurs, suns, mavs, heat, etc. each year there were at least 2-3 teams clearly contending (usually 2 in the west and 1 in the east). Then there were a few teams who were close and could make noise in the playoffs due to match ups, but ultimately were a move away from being taken seriously. The warriors make the contenders look like pretenders. They are in their own league. There needs to be another team up there to make the nba more interesting, but that would mean another team with 5 all stars. Is the nba going to continue to be all warriors for the next 3-4 years? If kevin durant leaves that fixes a lot.
The only rivals are in the East. And it's pretty ridiculous that MIL, BOS and TOR are all good matchups against the Warriors, because only 1 will make it. It's going to take a while for a LeBron-led LA team to be contenders; sadly, there's no one in the West that's a clear challenger to the comfort of the Warriors.
