Houston Astros The Houston Astros were known for their colorful uniforms back in the day, the "rainbow uniforms" as they were known as, later referred to as "tequilla sunrise". In 1982, the Astros introduced their greatest uniform as a Sunday alternate, it included rainbow colored racing stripes on the pullover jersey and a single navy stripe down the side of the sansabelt baseball pants, great looking athletic wear that we now know as the Ultimate Baseball Look! In 1987 it became the Astros' primary uniform. The last year the Astros wore athletic wear was 1988, the following year, nonsensical buttons and belts were introduced. To grow the game, the Astros should wear these uniforms again. The Astros' current look is boring, the Ultimate Baseball Look isn't. Nolan Ryan, Kevin Bass, Gerald Young and Craig Biggio in the Astros' greatest uniform along with former coach Yogi Berra and Kenny Lofton in the Astros' greatest BP jersey which should be brought back as a double knit alternate. http://ultimatebaseballlook.blogspot.com/2014/06/houston-astros.html?m=1
