UFC is straight up going WWE. Jon Jones would would beat DC for the 3rd time and brock too. There are so few really good ufc fighters left.
They have to do something to prop up this **** HW division -- there's like 3 good fighters in the division. And honestly the fight was a lot of fun, but DC looked like an eye poking fat body and Stipe just looked bad. Stipe was getting beat up before that little hook took him out -- DC was going to KO him before the end of the second. Now Dana is going to have to figure out how to get USADA to take a 4 month vacation so Brock can fight with his jacked up white boy powers.
The money is better then ever. With more people training in MMA. Perhaps DC is a great fighter. But Jones is more of a Jordan/Lebron/Hakeem level fighter.
The question with Jones though will always be why did he have to take PEDs? There was something going with him that was a big enough issue for Jones to risk his entire career -- if you are the best athlete far above the skills of anyone else in the sport you don't take that chance. With all of Jones other positive tests and ****ups he still took PEDs -- clearly he needed them for some reason. He may just be really scrawny and weak when he's not juicing -- when Jones was young and built like a toothpick he wasn't picking up other fighters most notably DC. I remember when he did that in the first fight and no one could believe he was strong enough to ragdoll DC like that -- DC is like a block of lead.
Even though I still don't like him. I will give DC credit. Tonight he is the best fighter in the world. The whole post fight show down with Brock looked really fake.
I don't believe there was a fix I just think Ngannou was so humiliated from his last fight that he didn't want to do anything to gas himself and get KO'd. Why he didn't try for like the last minute of round 3 is curious though -- I think Lewis was having some serious back spasms slowing him to a crawl. Regardless those are 2 of your top 5 heavyweight fighters and they have both been thoroughly exposed.
