https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/who-funds-the-lincoln-project-exactly-whom-you-expect/ excerpt: "I’m not really a fan of making a big deal over a group’s funding. Your arguments should stand on their own. I don’t care who pays you. But if you advertise your cause as something it’s not, you’re a fraud. And the biggest funders of the Lincoln Project aren’t distraught Republicans but long-time Democratic Party operatives."
That was basically my point and the point of why playing whataboutism about Bill Clinton as is we share the same sentiment about our cult leaders. The left tossed Al Franken to the curb because he joked in a photo about grabbing boobs. Thinking we’d excuse Bill Clinton for taking part in sexually abusing minors is absurd. If Bill is implicated he can rot. The fact that this sentiment would not be shared by even folks here says a lot.
If the police unions are on your side then you know the reforms you are pushing are nothing but surface level.
You almost never post anything supporting Democrats or Biden, the presumptive nominee. You seem intent on supporting trump, based on your posts here. Fascinating. I have to wonder why. So do you want trump to be reelected? I find that difficult to believe. 83,082 views|Jul 15, 2020, 04:28pm EDT Six More Billionaires Donate To The Anti-Trump Lincoln Project Six more billionaires recently donated to the Lincoln Project, a Republican-led super-PAC doing its best to defeat Donald Trump in November. The largest donor, supplying $1 million, was billionaire hedge fund manager Stephen Mandel Jr., founder of Lone Pine Capital, according to Federal Election Commission filings released Wednesday. Other supporters include Hollywood billionaire David Geffen (who donated $100,000), Boston media magnate Amos Hostetter Jr. ($100,000) and Silicon Valley investors Michael Moritz ($50,000) and Chris Sacca ($10,000). Martha Karsh, who is married to private equity billionaire Bruce Karsh, gave $50,000. This group of donors is following in the footsteps of Walmart heiress Christy Walton, who gave $20,000 to the Lincoln Project in January. Apparently pleased with her investment, she contributed another $10,000 in May. All of the donors except Walton have also contributed to Joe Biden’s presidential campaign or a super-PAC supporting the former vice president. Although billionaires, like everyone else, can only give $5,600 per election cycle directly to the campaigns of presidential candidates, they can give unlimited sums to super-PACs, like the Lincoln Project. In total, the Lincoln Project has raised $18.7 million this year. Those donations help fund things like political ads, which have managed to frustrate the president. In May, a Lincoln Project video called “Mourning in America,” which criticized Trump’s coronavirus response, prompted the president to go on a Twitter tirade. He called the Lincoln Project “a disgrace to Honest Abe.” and its leaders “a group of RINO Republicans who failed badly.” The group’s leaders include Republican strategists Steve Schmidt and Rick Wilson, as well as lawyer George Conway, who is married to White House advisor Kellyanne Conway. And they aren’t just targeting Trump. FEC filings show that the Lincoln Project has paid to run ads opposing his allies, including senators Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Joni Ernst of Iowa. It has also paid for ads supporting Joe Biden and Montana governor Steve Bullock, who is running for Senate in his state. https://www.forbes.com/sites/michel...t-sparked-trump-twitter-tirades/#f8017cc6ef00
honestly, why should I? everyone here pretty much has that covered. And here I was just adding something to support the claim that @dachuda86 made, a claim I found interesting. And I didn't know anything about the Lincoln Project other than @NewRoxFan posts more from the Lincoln Project than I do from The Federalist. Learn something new every day!
Which claim? He's made so many unsupported claims, most obtained from fringe sites, that it is difficult to keep track! As for Democratic donor's money finding it's way to The Lincoln Project, it makes perfect sense. I've been following their advertising and they are doing a better job of it, in my opinion, than the Biden campaign and the Democratic Party. Frankly, they would be foolish not to support them, in my opinion. Not officially, of course, but if Democratic donors chose to send them funds, bravo! The only reason not to would be "appearances." Since trump's campaign will accuse The Lincoln Project of secretly taking Democratic funds anyway, and accuse them of being a "Democratic front" organization, which they most assuredly are not, "appearances" begin to look ridiculous. The trump organization and their supporters certainly could care less about "appearances." They have made that perfectly obvious for well over 3 years! In my humble opinion.
@Deckard specifically stated: "You almost never post anything supporting Democrats or Biden, the presumptive nominee." clearly an an attached primary ballot is a post "supporting Democrats or Biden"
Doesn’t mean you will vote for Biden in November or any other general (not that it changes anything because of where you’re voting)
I'm fully certain you did not watch the video. We must fight to ensure that we are consuming content for comprehension and not just skimming headlines to formulate a response
