I wish you guys would stop saying Jimmy Butler, we dont have the pieces. Boston and Lakers both have us beat, the best you could hope for is that teams are too stingy to trade for Butler and ....well I kinda doubt that.

Boston and Lakers would also want a commitment from Butler to give up pieces.

Don’t bother. If they don’t get it now they never will. They’ll say “you’re the same person who said Ryno wasn’t getting you anything and we got Chriss and Knight for it!”

And why wouldnt he commit to playing with Lebron or Kyrie? I mean its just speculation at this point, but man dont hope for an all star wing with what we have.

Just sayin, they can have all the assets but unless Butler commits they are not just going to give away those assets for a rental.

Also, not sayin that he would commit to the Rockets.

Knight and Chriss are eligible to be traded by December. It doesn't have to wait till February. It's easier to trade a $14mil salary than $20mil one if he is not injured.

Oh I didn’t know that. I don’t know why I thought someone traded in the summer can be immediately flipped

I believe both can be traded immediately if they are traded with no other players including each other.

Morey is inspired by the guy on craiglist who went from a paper clip to a house.

Mid second rounder + $40mil in dead weight
    To
Mid lottery pick, $30mil dead weight
    To
    ???

    = profit (championship)

I'm trying to speak it into existence. There's no harm in wishing. Expectations low, hope high.

Hey that’s why they are flyers. You have to keep trying to hit on one.

Of course we can. If Morey is not high I Chriss I could see him shipped off to a rebuilding team for a good 2nd and some lower paid expiring player we likely waive. We then can do a second trade lets just say for Bazemore, Knight plus the 2nd from the Chris trade. Now Atlanta saves 8 million and nets a good second rounder and a reclamation project in Knight. That is likely more attractive than the Anderson/1st we were likely offering.

Sources - Rockets eyeing a rangy stretch 4 from the valley of the Sun in addition to a highly respected 3&D swingman with a championship petty gris
