These are just some of the worst suggestions. Thats a nice group of flashy highlight reel guys who can chuck up a lot of shots but play ZERO defense. The last thing the Rockets need is players who become instant defensive liabilities when they enter the game. https://theathletic.com/215291/2018/01/19/how-much-of-a-problem-is-zach-lavines-defense/ https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/1/31/16956070/tyreke-evans-trade-rumors-memphis-grizzlies Evans is a weak perimeter defender....which would kill us against the Warriors. We can barely afford average perimeter defenders getting minute against the Warriors.
lmao, wow... IT who just had another surgery, is severely undersized and can’t defend anything? U think you’re getting Zach Lavine with the taxpayer MLE?? Let us know when u get back to reality.
No, you missed what I was saying - Harden wants to win a title for Houston because it's HIS team - same with Watt and Altuve. My point is - the rest of the guys are there to facilitate and don't have the same vested interest in the city(aside from Gerald Green or maybe Ariza who has been here 5 years now). There is a difference between the player who is the face of the franchise or the player who legitimately calls Houston home and the rest of the players who are just passing through.
You don't know how much "vested interest" in the city these other players not named Harden. Cp3 is one of the newest players on the rox and he's not the face of the team like Harden but he's called Houston home already.
If they don't make him a max offer, you will see how much he calls the city home. CP is a guy who tries to embrace the city he is in but it is worth noting he has played for several cities already and he could play for another and make it 'home'. CP is a family guy so he makes each city he plays for 'home' and brings his family but there is nothing magical about Houston for CP - this is just another stop for him - he is trying to use the city/team to get himself a title plain and simple. Nothing wrong with that, but he isn't "doing it for the city".
You think Harden signed with the rockets primarily for the city of Houston? Beard playing for 2 teams or CP3 playing for 3, it's all business first.
Yes - thank you, it is business first....so what are you arguing about? You seem to think there are players on the roster loyal to the city and I'm telling you that ultimately, that's not how it works. Thats why fans from the city will always be at odds with the players on their teams because they don't share the same goals ultimately. The best thing for the city of Houston is CP taking a vet minimum and Houston signing LBJ outright but we know that is not the best thing for CP.
We have a problem? I thought we just ended the season with a franchise record for wins, the leagues MVP and took the best team maybe of all time to a nail biter seventh game en-route to the championship only to have our season and championship stolen by losing our second best player and some shitty calls by some obviously corrupt officials in the final hurdle to greatness!
Yeah because Cp3 would be recruiting Lebron without Hardens blessing? This notion that Harden is not ok with LBJ here is farsical
Just damn op. This is some of the dumbest crap yet. man this is why thread starting priveledges should be earned. This is so pointless. You made up a narrative. Congrats broussard.
