Of course, there are consequences to free speech and protests, cross the line and go to jail...........not that complicated to me, but I am a pretty simple guy.

 

It’s quite a leap to (1) equate that with “kill the Jews” and then (2) claim a double standard because no one would accept “kill the blacks” or “kill the gays”.

I guarantee if anyone was chanting “lynch the Jews” or “burn the Jews” then there would be universal outrage and condemnation. Including from the student organizations participating in these protests.

 

What would stop them from protesting is Columbia actually hiring some Colombian cartel to kidnap these kids relatives

People can chant whatever they want. You or I may not agree with what they are saying, but in this country people can say what they want. Break a law, then be prepared to go to jail. I suppose maybe universities may have rules and regulations about what is allowed and not allowed, so maybe they can possibly regulate what happens on their campus. But, for the most part, people can peacefully protest and say whatever they want in this country, even if it offends YOU.

If protesters are breaking university rules and regulations and the university can legally make them stop, then I don’t have a problem with universities taking action. When I was a student at UT, I saw protests of some sort every single day. Protests on college campuses happen all the time. These protesters are looking for attention. Usually I don’t give them my attention. But, you do you.
