    Just to be clear, from a salary matching perspective: Knight, Nene and Chriss gets you there for Otto Porter. There's no need to attach any other players.

    Alternatively after 12-15 you could deal: Knight, Chriss, Melo and MCW. :)

    “Mistakes”? Ah I guess he forgot to check up on the basketball experts over at clutchfans. No biggie guess will ignore best rockets record and WCF run last year.

    Did people really think Rockets were gonna tank this year with or without melo?. That’s just silly

    The more I think about it the more I think that Morey will try to wait until 12/15 to kill a whole flock of birds with one infinity stone

    1. Qi's contract is not guaranteed this year and beyond.
    2. MCW's contract for this year is mostly guaranteed--only 1.2 of the 1.8 is guaranteed

    You package both contracts together and you come pretty close to Nene's cap hit. This would be a boon for Washington or a 3rd team because that's more savings to your cap if you waive 1 or both players.

    yeah mistakes. it wasn't spelled incorrectly.not sure why you're even offended by that when it's exactly what it was. nobody called morey perfect unless that's what you're trying to ensue

    fwiw: Non-guaranteed salary no longer counts in trade salary-matching. It's treated as a $0 when calculating out-going salary, in a trade.

    Can you name these mistakes for me? I’m just curious what mistakes he made considering our owner didn’t want to pay luxury tax.

    sure. picking up a mcw who in no way fits this team. also picking melo who he just cut. i'd say those are 2 clear mistakes

    it's a good thing DM found an undrafted rookie to contribute to what this team really needs

    Calling two players that make the minimum a mistake is kinda of a stretch. Why wouldn’t he take a chance on those players. What else was left? Considering we had to spend all off season waiting on Capela to sign a deal he was pretty much stuck taking Hail Mary chances.

    This off-season was as successful as he could get. He had to resign CP3 and Capela. Picked up two rotation pieces in Clark and Ennis for the min. And he was able to get rid of Anderson’s contract without even giving up a first.

    It sucked to lose Ariza and Luc but if Tillman won’t kpen the check book what can we do?

    not really. they were mistakes. morey is getting rid of one and will probably get rid of the other in due time. sooner rather than later. pretty simple to me.

    him and this team will move on while they work to correct it. And so far they're taking the steps to do so.

    I dont think its about contract, its about who will help this team win and Otto Porter would be amazing here. He is a super role player.

    Two top 10 players surrounded by super role players(Gordon, Tucker Porter) would help us be amazing.
