Sure I’ll take the #9 pick.

Then trade back a few spots and collect picks

I want Clowney to get his money, but for the 9th pick I’d drive him to the airport.

I worry about paying Clowney as much as anyone, but what else are the Texans going to spend money on if not that?

He'd really be Mario Williams 2.0!

If Texans can't find a trade they can say no to they should just re-sign him. Front load his contract so all of the dead money is in the beginning, if possible, while we have the extra cap space.

Can we take "incarcerated Bob" seriously?

Not sure we can but most definitely would be trading him to the NFC if it does happen

The Mack trade should be your reference. 2 #1s and a 2nd or 3rd.

It should be, but I'd gladly take a top 15 pick and a second round pick in this year's draft for him. Get a tackle in the first and a corner and his replacement with the next two picks.

Two lineman, two corners and a Christian (Wilkins) to replace a Christian (Covington).

Don't forget now you need an OLB or DE to replace Clowney.

It would probably be a swap of 1st round picks this year and either a 2nd this year or a 1st next year.

I would say no to that and re-sign him, unless the Texans really do have a "red flag" on him.

Don’t forget the Raiders also sent a 2nd and conditional 5th to the Bears. Given the depth of DL in this draft, I’d take a Top 15 pick which I think would guarantee us one of OL. Taylor, Dillard, or Williams. At 23, take the best DE or CB available.

I’m interested in this only if it’s moving into the Top 10 and it’s a 2nd rounder this year.

Dee Ford had 13 sacks last year and was just traded for a 2020 2nd. There is also that value
